In the past few years, BMW has developed rapidly, and its BMW i8 roadster is powerful enough to compete with Polaris and Acura NSX. We can guess that in the near future, the BMW i8 roadster will occupy half of the high-end car market. It seems a long time has passed since the BMW i8 Roadster was launched. Since the top German automaker put the i8 roadster on the market, it has never stopped fighting with Ferrari, Porsche 918 Spider, and other hybrid sports cars.

When the BMW i8 (Thailand language BMW i8 ราคา)was first introduced, it was motivated to be a real game-changer. Yet things aren’t set in stone. In the fast-growing world of automobiles, it’s hard for a model’s popularity to last even more than a year or two. And now, after seven years, the news of the upcoming release of this super futuristic successor is generating a lot of buzzes again. Let’s take this opportunity to see everything that has been revealed so far about the mysterious BME i8 roadster. The concept of the BMW i8 dates back to 2009 when all BMW had in mind was how to achieve better performance with less fuel consumption. It wasn’t just a nebulous dream; it took BMW five years to turn the dream into reality. And the BMW I8 is the product of that dream — a tangible reality!

The BMW i8 was released in June 2014, and it soon won the hearts of sports car enthusiasts. With about 370 horsepower, it can accelerate from 0 to 6 mph in just 4.4 seconds with the help of an 11.6 kWh turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine. And the 2014 BMW can no longer be satisfied with such speed.

A year after the launch of the BMW i8 Coupe, BMW is introducing the Vision M Next concept for 2019. The Vision M Next is also a hybrid, with an exterior design that will be a clever combination of the BMW i8 and the old German car, the BMW M1, but with an edgier and firmer look. BMW has kept the edgy hybrid concept and saved its fully electrified configuration for later. After a while, everyone was impressed with BMW’s development concept. But at the same time rumors began to spread, claiming that the concept wouldn’t go any farther. Yet rumors are still rumors.

As you already know, the BMW i8 Roadster will feature a plug-in hybrid powertrain. Just like the i8 before it, the power is provided by two independent electric motors and a gasoline engine. Not much has been officially revealed about the batteries. But according to rumors, it will support 62 miles if you go all-electric, which sounds pretty good compared to the previous 18-mile range battery pack. An electric motor powers the rear wheels along with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine, and an all-wheel-drive system will also provide another electric motor to drive the front wheels.

Not much definitive information is available, but BMW has never let consumers down when it comes to power. We can expect BMW’s upcoming supercar. 2019’s concept car has a top speed of 186 mph, and BMW boasts an output of 591 horsepower that can reach 62 mph in under three seconds. Based on these figures, we can expect the BMW I8 roadster to be able to possibly increase its numbers a bit more?
